I have basically spent my lifetime with dogs. Unfortunately when I was younger I had a lot of dogs in and out of my life. Everyone always spoke about how I had this way about me and that when dogs were near, I shined. I did not know about dog trainers when I was young, which explains why so many dogs had to go to "a farm". I said I always wanted to be a veterinarian. It was not until I became older(ish) and got my very first two dogs that I realized I had a lot to learn! More than just feed, water & walking. Although there is plenty to learn about that, however, that is for another time. I chased around jobs when I was younger and even did some roofing. Nonetheless I always landed back with dogs. I worked for a large doggy daycare when my two bloodhounds were 8 weeks old. The realizations I had there & the fear of what I did not know how to fix, nor did I have the power to lead me to an animal shelter. That later led me to be a veterinary receptionist that quickly changed to a veterinary technician. During all that I raised my two bloodhounds, got a degree through Penn Foster in Dog Training & acquired two more dogs. Roxy a staffie mix & Rip a claimed Australian shepherd! Let me just tell you Penn Foster was useful in teaching me some basic concepts & science behind dog training. Nothing has taught me more than life and living it. I have attended and continue to attend seminars & webinars to stay relevant & you can never learn enough! Those were the game changers, meeting trainers, seeing their dogs, learning the secrets that no one seems to talk about. There is a small group of trainers that helped me before I ever knew my journey would lead me here. The knowledge they have given me is life changing. I am not even sure they know the impact their help has had. I share all this to let you know I am just like you, a dog owner who loves & cares for her dogs to the deepest extent. In that love I found the ingredients to make it a partnership to last a lifetime. I can tell you training matters, but training is always happening. The learning never stops. I will always work on myself to be the best I can be. So I am here to be your life coach for you & your dog. To help you learn that love is not all there is to owning a dog. We love them, therefore we should work to our fullest extent to see to it that they live a biologically fulfilling, enriching life, one that we can be proud of!
